DANCE CLASSES

ONE YEAR DANCE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Shiamak's One Year Dance Certification Program (OYP) is a full time course for one year that helps potential dancers nurture their skills in a professional environment. Dance enthusiasts from across the world between ages 15 to 28 are auditioned by Shiamak and selected students make it for the course. The program focuses on technique, training and knowledge in over ten dance styles with specialized training in Shiamak Style. Shiamak actively teaches at the OYP and monitors their progress through the year. The OYP is a part of Shiamak’s mission to help dance enthusiasts make their passion a profession. Each year, students with the most potential are then inducted into the Shiamak Davar Dance Company.

"Every instructor who is a part of my Dance Company and teaching faculty is professionally trained to maintain high standards of dance education. There is an abundance of talent that needs the right guidance and for this very reason I created an intensive dance training program with extensive course content. The program focuses on technique, training and knowledge that give them a platform to nurture their talent. OYP is a part of my mission to help dance enthusiasts make their passion a profession.

Over the past four batches of OYP, select students who consistently worked hard found a place in my dance company, got an opportunity to perform in shows nationally & internationally, and perform at live musicals. Selcouth is an example of the progress shown by the OYP students. Starting off as a graduation show, it is now a professional production that has run to over twenty houseful shows through the year.

By joining OYP, you will see yourself change not only as a performing artist, but also as a person. The program will require hard work, perseverance and dedication from all the participants."
